The Resurrection – Why Does It Matter?
TAKE 2 minutes FOR TRAINING
TAKE2 TRANSCRIPT
What difference does the resurrection make?
Bill Bright: “The Resurrections sets Christianity apart. No other religious leader has broken the power of death and conquered sin.”
Why does the resurrection matter?
1) The resurrection matters because…it confirms that Jesus is who He claimed to be. Fulfilled prophecies of Jesus’ resurrection prove His deity.
2) The resurrection matters because… by rising from the dead Jesus proved His authority and power to forgive and break the bonds of sin.
The resurrection demonstrates God’s defeat of Satan. Because of the resurrection we never need be in bondage to Satan or death again.
3) The resurrection matters because… it is the power of the resurrected Christ that Christians have.
The power of the resurrection is greater than the power of sin and of death in our lives. (Romans 8:2)
Bill Bright: “The resurrection of Jesus Christ ranks as history’s most revolutionary event.”
Does it matter whether Jesus actually rose from the dead?
What difference does the resurrection make?
The resurrection makes ALL the difference.
