“In the words of Lisa Bosley, a chaplain, “I can assure you that even when people seem gone in the fog of dementia, God never stops reaching out to bring them joy and hope. Their spirits are very much alive, and God has not forgotten them. He is the Good Shepherd, bringing his lambs home. He is always, always active.”Every time we visit and do church services with the residents who are, for the most part, living with advanced dementia, we see God at work. We see those who appear to be in that fog emerge and engage in the singing of hymns.
They are happy to hear about Jesus and how much he loves them and is with them. Even those who are not Christians are responding to the kindness and encouragement of our faithful volunteers.
