Leading a Volunteer to Jesus

Recently I had an interesting experience with a new volunteer. She is young and is still exploring all that the world offers in terms of faith and spirituality. She has experienced hurt in the church in the past and is not sure where she lands in her faith.

 

Given the uniqueness of this particular situation, we were able to see this as an opportunity to come alongside her, to love her and walk with her in her spiritual journey. After she attended our Connecting Streams training for new volunteers, she was so impressed by what she heard that she reached out to me afterwards and asked if we could connect.

 

In her words, she said: “From what I learned today, I think. …. that Connecting Streams may be able to help lead me on my journey about learning more about Jesus.”
