Heart Clinging for Hope

🌟In a Connecting Streams prison ministry session, the volunteer team found themselves running over time when a distraught lady entered. Despite the schedule, it became evident that they needed to pray for her. Overwhelmed with grief, she revealed that the past 50 days marked her longest period of sobriety.

Formerly numbing her pain with drugs, she now faced the profound grief that had been suppressed. Tearfully, she shared a harrowing life story, including the loss of loved ones and surviving human trafficking. The team prayed fervently for her healing, offering support and strength in her journey towards recovery.

The broken but desperate woman clung to the volunteers as they prayed, seeking redemption, healing, and restoration. Expressing a desire for scriptures on healing, prayer, and grieving, she left with a list written on a piece of paper, obtained with the correctional officers’ permission.

Grateful for the encounter, the team continued to uplift her in prayer, hoping her life would become a story of hope, incomprehensible peace, and everlasting joy, trusting in God’s transformative power for His precious daughter.
