We provide engaging opportunities for followers of Jesus to come alongside and befriend newcomers to Canada, introducing them to the One who can give them hope in all their challenges.

We facilitate a Christ-centered 12-step program as a safe place to access support and be set free from addictions.

We provide intentional opportunities for teams to share their stories and the transformational love of Christ with those who are experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty.

We provide relationship, support, and discipleship opportunities for those living with various health challenges and disabilities. We send our teams to hospitals, long term care facilities, and seniors centres. We work with Embrace Ministries, which trains teams from local churches with the vision to see every seniors’ residence in Ottawa adopted by a local church or churches, where both residents, their families, and staff, through spiritual care, have an opportunity to come to faith and be discipled.

We provide purposeful opportunities for Christ-followers to reach out to those in the Ottawa correctional centres. Our trained leaders guide volunteers into life transformational encounters for everyone involved.

We offer emotional, practical, and spiritual support for people at all stages of their grieving journey, introducing them to the love and care of God through Jesus.

Prayer is the fuel that keeps our teams on the move! We have a weekly Thursday morning prayer gathering as well as an online team of intercessors that pray regularly for each of our teams and the ministry as a whole. We are always looking for more intercessors, so if this is on your heart please reach out to us.

Trauma Healing ministry draws on the restorative power of God’s Word. The Bible-based curriculum – Caring for the Wounded Heart: Trauma Healing Program – includes basic mental health concepts to help participants identify their pain, share their suffering, bring their pain to the cross of Christ for healing, and, for cases where the trauma was caused by the actions of another person, learn to forgive their oppressors.

Connecting Streams would be happy to walk with your church through a process of discovery, mobilization and equipping to love and serve the vulnerable of your community. We have designed an action plan for church leadership to identify and focus on the specific area of ministry the Holy Spirit for which the Holy Spirit is preparing your congregation.
