Shelley-ARM

At just 14, Shelly was handed cocaine for the first time, pulling her into a relentless cycle of addiction.

Her life was chaotic from a young age, moving around with musicians and being exposed early to drugs and alcohol.

One fateful night, kneeling in a motel room, Shelly cried out in defeat, “I’m done battling with you. I’m an addict, this is my life.”

But then, she heard the voice of God say, ‘No. Not you. This is not your life.’”

During rehab she was introduced to Connecting Streams Addiction Recovery Ministry (ARM) at a local church. Through ARM, Shelly encountered compassionate volunteers, equipped by the training and resources provided by Connecting Streams.

With their support, she began her journey to recovery. Today, Shelly is free from addiction and now serves with Connecting Streams, helping others like her find hope and freedom.
