Intercultural Stream
The Intercultural Ministry at Connecting Streams is a Canadian Christian, interdenominational, non-profit organization equipping churches to welcome and connect with newcomers and internationals.
As Canada grows more diverse, we see a profound opportunity to reflect Christ’s love.
We work to dismantle barriers, build connections, and create spaces where diversity is celebrated, friendships thrive, and the hope of Jesus is shared.
Together, we’re making every newcomer’s journey one of belonging and faith.

Addiction Recovery Stream
The Addiction Recovery Ministry is dedicated to breaking the chains of addiction and guiding individuals towards a renewed, fulfilled life in Christ.
Connecting Streams offers a Christ-centred 12-step addiction recovery program.

Widow to Widow
At W2W, we enrich each other while experiencing encouragement, friendship, hope, and God's love.
We provide a place where women who have experienced the loss of their husband connect, form friendships, and move forward.
Whether your loss was recent or a few years ago, there is a place for you at W2W.

LTC & Seniors Stream
We provide relationship, support, and discipleship opportunities for those living with various health challenges and disabilities. We send our teams to hospitals, long term care facilities, and seniors centres. We work with Embrace Ministries, which trains teams from local churches with the vision to see every seniors’ residence in Ottawa adopted by a local church or churches, where both residents, their families, and staff, through spiritual care, have an opportunity to come to faith and be discipled.

Prison Stream
In Canadian prisons, where over 38,000 individuals face the challenges of incarceration, the need for hope and transformation is great.
Connecting Streams equips and mobilizes the local Church to bring the light of the Gospel to these often-overlooked places.
Through partnership and training, we prepare volunteers to engage with those behind bars, providing support, community, and a path to spiritual renewal.

Prayer Teams
Prayer is the fuel that keeps our teams on the move! We have a weekly Thursday morning prayer gathering as well as an online team of intercessors that pray regularly for each of our teams and the ministry as a whole. We are always looking for more intercessors, so if this is on your heart please reach out to us.

Church Partnerships
Connecting Streams would be happy to walk with your church through a process of discovery, mobilization and equipping to love and serve the vulnerable of your community. We have designed an action plan for church leadership to identify and focus on the specific area of ministry the Holy Spirit for which the Holy Spirit is preparing your congregation.

The Journey
Journey retreats reach out to under-resourced women in Edmonton and surrounding communities. During retreats, women experience generous hospitality as a way for them to know they are valued, loved and welcomed into intentional community. The Gospel message is woven throughout the weekend.
Coffee & Community meets are coffee, community, and Bible study primarily for women who have attended Journey retreats, but also open to women of all walks of life.
