Have you ever thought about the struggles of a young mother who is new to Canada? Well, our Intercultural team at one of our locations has experienced this kind of challenge firsthand.
The team has had a young mother attending recently who has found refuge in the community created by Connecting Streams. She has been struggling with not knowing English and having two young children at home.
As a result, she cannot work, study, or find the time to learn English amongst her demanding household responsibilities. Yet, the Connecting Streams Conversation Café on location has welcomed her, and her children, with open arms.
She now attends regularly and is learning both English and the practical love of Jesus. Our volunteers have made her feel welcomed, loved and cared for as she strives toward a life that is thriving in Canada and in Christ!
