Do you have a story to tell? Our lives are made up of hundreds of stories, some very personal and some interwoven with the stories of others. Connecting Streams is a ministry built on stories: stories of hope, of strength, of courage, and of transformation. I am reminded that these stories mean something profound in the lives of each one that they touch, whether they be staff, volunteers or the people we are serving.
In Connecting Streams’ story, we are experiencing transformation through the pruning of staff members, and growing with the addition of new team members. We are prioritizing the strengthening of our staff and volunteer training, so we will have a greater capacity to effect transformation. Paraphrasing from one of our newest team members: Connecting Streams is a ministry that brings together two passions: reaching the lost with the Gospel and seeing their transformation with Jesus, and the revival of the church. Through putting the church in front of the marginalized, and equipping them to do that, it transforms both.
I believe the Lord has great things in mind as He writes the story of Connecting Streams, and as well as He writes your own story. I am so grateful for the part that you play in our story, and for the part that we get to play in yours. As we head into a season of Thanksgiving, I pray that this will be a time that you too can experience transformation. May you be strengthened with a greater capacity to do the things that He has planned for you. As David Platt says in his guest post on Ann Voskamp’s blog (see below for the full post), “God has given you unique opportunities for the spread of Gospel hope in the world around you”. Are you ready to see how your story will play out?
