Living Water

“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14(NKJV)

It is common to us all to have this place in our spirit that craves and demands to be filled, a hunger and thirst that we try to satisfy in every possible way. Food, entertainment, relationships, shopping, addictions all bring a fleeting pleasure, but still leave us with a sense of dissatisfaction.

Jesus told the women at the well (in John 4) that there is water that satisfies and finally fills that place that longs to be filled.  It is the water that flows when we are in sync with our Creator and the way that He has made us to be in relationship with Him, and our hearts are settled on our true purpose as His beloved children. Drink in deeply of His word, be filled with His Spirit, take time to be with Him every day and you will experience His river flowing in you, bringing great satisfaction, joy and peace.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38 (NKJV)
