Faith is the Evidence

160312504

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)

What are you hoping for? What promise of God are you standing on, that gives you confidence that you can have what you are asking? That promise together with the agreement of the Holy Spirit is what your faith is based on. Your willingness to stand firm and believe that God is faithful and longs to do what He said, is the evidence that you will have what you are hoping for. Sometimes the promise will be fulfilled quickly and other times it may take longer. The key is to keep your eyes on God, and don’t let yourself get discouraged by what the circumstances around you are saying.

Faith is really the ability to know what God has said and trust Him to deliver it. His word is absolutely full of promises and they are for all His children! Jesus desire is to bring glory to the Father, and He entreats us to partner with Him in doing so through our prayers (John 14:13). Are you willing to take the risk? Are you willing to stand on a promise, however long it takes, regardless of what it looks like, in order to partner with Jesus to bring Glory to the Father? He promises to reward those who diligently seek Him!

Therefore do not cast away your confidence which has great reward. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:35, 22, 23 NKJV)
