The Likeness of His Ressurection

Written by Emmie Stanley

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection  Romans 6:5 NKJV

In the likeness of His death our sin was dealt with, our “old man” died, and the way made open for us to receive salvation. If we stop there, we can have the confidence that we have received eternal life.  Receiving our salvation is the first step, but it goes on to say that we will also be in the likeness of His resurrection!

His resurrection life is electrified with power! It is the decision to make Jesus not just Savior, but Lord. It’s His invitation to walk in newness of life, apprehending growing freedom from the curse, and empowered by His Holy Spirit. Our position and perspective in heavenly places with Him becomes a daily reality and experience as we surrender to His lead. We renew our minds in the word and are transformed into His likeness, experiencing growth in answered prayer, authority, and effectiveness in impacting our world by His power.

Choose to surrender to Him in greater degrees, to take hold of the fullness of what it means to live in the likeness of His resurrection.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17 NKJV
