Real Life Heroes

And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies. Nehemiah 9:27 (ESV)

What child hasn’t dreamed of being a superhero, having what it takes to ‘fly in and save the day?’
Superman

Superman is such a great example of who we are called to be in this world! Like him, we are to be the ones who reach out to help those in need with kindness and gentleness, and a humble, selfless heart. Because of our position of being seated in heavenly places with Christ, along with the power of the Holy Spirit, we have a higher view and can ‘fly’ above the circumstances of life. As citizens of heaven we are aliens among the people of the earth, and we demonstrate an unusual strength. Even as we walk in faith, the ‘bullets’ of the enemy bounce off of us, and we can have favor with those around us. Our mission is to uphold justice and fight evil while continuing to show love and respect, without judgment.

We are the “saviours” that God has sent into the world. Release the hero in you! It is your calling as a child of God, and you have access to all the supernatural power you need, as the very power that raised Christ from the dead is in you!

But the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits. The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Daniel 11:32, Proverbs 28:1 (NKJ)
