The Ripple Effect

A Woman Holds On To The Cross

At The Life Project, we have the privilege of walking with and mentoring individuals after they have made a commitment to follow Jesus. Here is a story that just came in from one of our online chat mentors.

I recently had an opportunity to share with one of the ladies who was saved just last year and who has continued to participate in studies and open chat online. She is growing. During Easter Week she’d learned of the suffering Jesus went through for us, and she grieved over His suffering. “I just can’t get over it…. It’s just so hard to get over the torture he endured…. So many take Jesus for granted. Do they really understand what Jesus went through?”

We talked about our response as followers of Jesus Christ, and I shared with her that for me, a total surrender such as expressed in “The Life Commitment” is reasonable. “Dear Jesus, I want you in the center of my life and commit through your power to serve and obey you. Anytime. Anywhere. At any cost. To do anything.”

Imagine my joy when a few days later she wrote to say, “I hope you don’t mind, but I shared with someone The Life Commitment. Given much thought to that, and that is something we should all strive for.”

What a beautiful example of the ripples that are created when God changes one life, and another, and another! Are you “all in” with God?

Keep living out your total surrender to Him through The Life Commitment.
