  • It’s Worth It

Written by Donna Mitchell for The Life “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Similarly, if anyone [...]

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. (Matt. 27: 51, 52)

What an indescribably cataclysmic moment when Jesus declared, “It is finished” and breathed His last! Just when the devil was sure of a great victory, darkness fell, the earth shook violently, the veil was torn, and his 4000 year reign on the earth came crashing down. He was stripped of all authority and no longer held the keys to death and hell.

Satan’s hold on mankind had been broken! The prison doors made wide open, the chains unlocked. Man was set free from the tyranny of the devil’s rule. Anyone who would believe in the Son of God and His work at the cross was now free. Free! Free to choose life over death, free to access strength through the Holy Spirit to walk away from brokenness and to receive healing, hope for a bright future, and joyful life in Jesus for eternity.

Saints! This is our inheritance! We have been set free, given authority over all the works of the enemy, and called to abundant life in Christ. Take your freedom, claim and enjoy what that moment 2000 years ago means for you personally, and go and tell everyone you know!

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
