Do you have a story to tell? Our lives are made up of hundreds of stories, some very personal and some interwoven with the stories of others. Connecting Streams is a ministry built on stories: [...]

Calling for Volunteers!

Here we go again, back for what we hope is another smashing fund raising success for Connecting Streams. The CS Concession Booth is in conjunction with the Endless Summer Show N Shine that takes place Saturday, August 24 in the parking lot of the Sherwood Park Alliance Church in Sherwood Park.  Note that it is a fair weather event only.

If you are available to come out again and help on this day, we’d love to have you alongside us. It’s fun, it’s tough, it’s rewarding – just another day in the service of our King!

We are looking for any time you are able to give on this day. We need folks to come in early and do food prep, folks for serving the hungry crowd,  and a fresh crew that comes in at the end to clean up and put things away (we’ve found that our day crew is done in by the end of a hot busy day, and they need help to finish up.)

If you are able to join in, please look at the schedule and see where you might fit. Even if you only have an hour or two to give, we’d love to have you. It might mean the difference in someone getting a bathroom break or not.  🙂

Here are the basic shifts. Feel free to take any, or stay all day if you can, but remember – we want some fresh folks for closing up only. We won’t be relying on our all day folks for closing shift. Please consider being one of those who comes in later.

Food prep: 8am – 11:30

Day shift: 10:30 – 4:30

End of Day Heroes: 3 – 5pm.

Have a look at your summer schedule and let us know as soon as possible to Cherie Hunchak at elance@telus.net  if you are able to be involved. Let’s make it another great day!

Yours,

Concession Coordinators

Cherie Hunchak & Rita Gladue
