Sharing the Journey, an event ran by Women’s Journey of Faith (WJOF) in Saskatoon on April 27th, was a time of encouragement, inspiration, laughter, sound teaching, accountability and fellowship. Thank you to everyone who joined us at this event.
“I got up this morning with an enlarged heart. Not in a bad way that runs the risk of health problems- but in a supercharged faith lifted world changing sort of way. Reflecting on our Sharing the Journey seminar yesterday…it is superlatively evident that EVERYONE needs encouragement, laughter, inspiration, sound teaching, spiritual-authentic-relational friendships to stay focused and strong in Christ! One of my favourite things is to cast God sized dreams in the hearts of others!” shared Jodi Kozan, founder of WJOF.
“Speaking at the Sharing the Journey Conference was a privilege. My challenge to the women was to embrace the call to follow Jesus – into a hurting world. To know Him, we need to follow Him – His way,” said Donna Mitchell of Connecting Streams
Throughout the Sharing the Journey even we were challenged to be alert to the Lord and what He is doing around us, to build into people’s lives through genuine friendship, to allow the Lord to put dreams in our hearts and to give us the courage to step out in faith.
Matthew 16:24,25 reiterates the Key for those who want to follow Jesus.
“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If any of you wants to be My follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross and follow Me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake, you will save it.”
Jesus said our life depends upon our choice to follow.
We need to get down on our knees in surrender, stand up and ask for His assignment and Follow Him. God has a call on our lives, we have absolutely nothing to be afraid of and we have everything we need – we have Him!
After the event Jodi Kozan shared this message of thankfulness: “Thank you to all the WJOF team, and sweet volunteers along with our speaker/ leaders Maureen, Barb, Jamie, Donna McKay Mitchell, and Donna Carter for lending your time, love, voice, gifts and faith to such a beautiful day.”
