Today, I woke with a burden for broken and hurting people that need a Savior and our need to arise and to reach out and share His love. I had been reading in Ezra about how the Lord has a vision, stirs His people, they arise and begin to build, and they willingly offer themselves. That morning, I read about Deborah. In Judges 5:2, I read, “When leaders lead in Israel, when the people willingly offer themselves, bless the LORD!”
The LORD is building His Kingdom; He is at work among the broken and hurting and forgotten in our world. The need, the opportunities, and the open doors for ministry steadily increase. Is the LORD stirring your heart to desire more in your Christian life and to take bigger steps of faith? I encourage you to “willingly offer” yourself to the LORD and ask Him for your next intentional step to reach out with His love.
We have opportunities on our ministry teams – we need volunteers and leaders who are willing to offer themselves. Please connect with us and find out how you can experience a deeper, more fulfilling faith journey by joining a team to reach out to the broken and marginalized in your community. Video of the Month
Watch this video. “Real beauty isn’t a look, it’s an action. It can be found by making one crucial, life-defining choice—to lay down personal ambitions and selfish desires, pick up your sword of encouragement, and fight for those who are losing their battle for hope. As you do, fierce beauty is revealed—along with lasting value, fulfillment, and joy.” – Kim Meeder, Fierce Beauty.
Connecting Streams in Saskatchewan
From Wilna vanBeek, Connecting Streams, Saskatoon
It is good to be back after some time away and a challenge to adapt to this very cold weather! This reminded me of what happens when we say YES to the CALL on our lives. Not only does it mean we need to take certain RISKS, but we will be CHALLENGED on the way.
Risks you say? The Bible is full of examples of risk takers! Noah kept building the ark despite being mocked and laughed at! Esther took the risk to appear before the King even though it meant she could die in the process. Saul (Paul) started to proclaim the gospel of truth after his transformation on the road to Damascus despite the fact that people were afraid of him! They were CHALLENGED, but they could count on the PRESENCE of God to sustain them and they were all EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit to do what God called them for!
So, are you ready to be a risk taker for God? According to Isaiah 61:1 His anointing is upon each one of us which qualifies us to go, any time, any where, at any cost, to do anything!
