Always With You

Donna Mitchell   Hi Friends!

Have you thought deeply about the truth that God is with you lately? Always with you. He will never forsake or abandon you. He will take you by the hand and lead you. He is faithful and true, perfect in character – He can be fully trusted. He can bear the weight of your trust. He will not disappoint you. The Lord is constant and consistent. He is with you in your circumstances.

He calls your name and bids you to listen to His voice, follow where He leads, and receive the promise that He will strengthen and help you. He will give you the wisdom and courage if you will ask. He will make you a blessing to others and alert to His divine appointments. Think about what this means today… “I am with you…for I am your God. I will strengthen and help you.” It’s a promise!

Book of the Month: Plan B: What Do You Do When God Doesn’t Show Up the Way You Thought He Would? by Pete Wilson

Plan B“Pete Wilson put into words some of the thoughts and questions that have run through my mind in times of crisis or pain. He honestly reflects on the reality of life’s pain and encourages the reader to look at life through another window. He parallels real-life stories with biblical accounts, bringing new meaning to both. As I read, I found new meaning to my own past, cried over the pain I have seen in the lives of other,s and thought of dozens of people who need to read this book. If you are having trouble coming to terms within yourself and the reality of the pain you have or are experiencing, I would highly recommend that you take the journey through this book. You won’t be disappointed. It could be the beginning of a healing journey and the discovery of new or deeper faith.”

Faith Adventure: Grace At Work in Darkness, by Sabrina Bright

Sabrina Bright

It has been rewarding and exciting to get to know the ladies who come regularly to our Monday night Bible study at the Edmonton Institution for Women. We decided to throw a little “celebration” evening to wrap up before the summer break. Since we had been studying sinful women of the Bible, we told the ladies that we would be enjoying “sinful desserts” on that final night. We expected 5 or 6 ladies. We arrived armed with mini-chocolate bars, cans of real Coca Cola (a luxury item that is always appreciated in the institution), chips, and cookies – a veritable carb-fest! To our delight, there were at least a dozen women there, many of whom we had never met before.   Read more…
