This morning, there were mountains all around me– but they weren’t physical. I was still at home in suburbia. The mountains in my life include the following: need for direction; funds for ministry; the need to overcome obstacles; encouraging staff and volunteers to persevere through difficulties; fear; anxiety that wants to take over and bring discouragement; failures; insecurities; shattered hopes …

Quotes of the Month:
“There’s an intense hunger among laity to be engaged in a movement of God, and these people want God to use them to help propel such a movement” (p. 56).
“…would countless believers in the body of Christ be sitting in the stands with regard to the work of the Kingdom if they understood the blessings they’re forfeiting as a result? I think not” (p. 93).

We have chosen a combination of engaging questions, Scriptural truths, and relational activities to direct you in your discovery journey and create a “relational pathway”. It can be used one-on-one, in small groups, to follow up on outreach and conference events, or to mobilize women into their communities or workplace. Take advantage of our discounted price now (full price $10). Single copies are currently running for $7.50, up to 5 copies. Bulk orders over 5 cost $5.00 each. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to place your order today. Click here to find out more about the Compass.

People in your community are asking questions every day. Can I save my marriage? Are my kids okay? Could God really love me? Email mentoring gives you a chance to help with these questions, even if the person asking hasn’t stepped into your church yet. Instead of asking people to come to you, with mentoring, you can go to them. Go to our website to read more and to view pdfs for both churches and ministries.
Faith Adventure: God Surprises Us, by Debra Karman

As our groups settled in, five new ladies joined us. We had approximately 10-12 inmates that day, so we decided to break up into two smaller groups. Edith and I moved to one side of the chapel, and the five new ladies chose to join us in our circle of chairs.
As we started the lesson on the Father’s heart, each woman began to get a little uncomfortable. One after the other began to share with us that they did not think God would want a relationship with any of them, let alone talk with them. Each one had a reason they thought they were unworthy — from the crimes they had committed, to the ways they had dismissed Him in their lives. Read more…
The Least of These, by Allan Mitchell
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’… ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’ Matt. 25: 35, 36, & 40 (New International Version).
Has God ever asked you to do something outside your comfort zone?
Over the last few months, the Lord challenged and continues to challenge me about ministry involvement. As a writer, I have always dedicated my craft to His glory, and I considered my gifting to be a comfortable and acceptable offering of ministry. In my heart, however, I realized I had much more to give, and that the Lord was asking me to embrace my invitation to faith adventure. Read more…
